Awarded KUKAN OF THE YEAR 2025

EARTH MART has been awarded the prestigious Gold Award in the Exhibition/Event Space category of the KUKAN DESIGN AWARD 2025. It also won the KUKAN OF THE YEAR 2025 award, selected at the final judging stage from among 12 categories.
It has also been awarded the Nikkei Inc. Award, given to works that take social and economic perspectives into account, by the Nikkei Shimbun, a sponsor of the event, making it a triple win.

The KUKAN DESIGN AWARD is one of Japan's largest design awards, established to connect the value of spatial design to the future. Entries aimed at creating communication design in space are widely accepted from both Japan and overseas, and the awards recognize outstanding spatial design works from a wide range of people involved in space, including designers, producers, creators, art directors, planners, architects, engineers, educators, and researchers. Entries are classified into 12 categories, including the "Exhibition/Event Space Category" (exhibitions, expos, trade fairs, conventions, events, campaigns, private shows, and pop-up stores), which EARTH MART won.
This year, a longlist of 445 entries was selected, and they were judged on the basis of contemporary relevance, creativity, social impact, cultural value, design, innovation, and sustainability. Gold winners were determined in each category, and the KUKAN OF THE YEAR was selected from among them.
