EARTH MART is closing. Thank you very much.

To Everyone,

After operating EARTH MART for 184 days, we have closed today. Thank you so very much to everyone who supported us.

So many of you loved EARTH MART. We received many heartwarming stories—about how it was helpful, how it introduced you to new information, how it encouraged your children to eat more.

And also, to the staff who helped us build EARTH MART, the cast members who supported us for 184 days, the security staff, and the cleaning staff, thank you very much.

While EARTH MART has closed at this Osaka-Kansai Expo site, we've received requests from various places asking us to create a food museum like this, one that also connects to food education. In the near future, we hope to use this opportunity to create museums like this all over Japan. Of course, we would also be happy if someone other than me were to see the value in building one. It could become tourist hubs, showcase venues for agricultural and marine products, and even food education for schools. I hope it will become a place that people from all walks of life will enjoy.

Finally, to everyone who visited EARTH MART, we sincerely hope you will come back in 25 years, in 2050, to collect the pickled umeboshi plums we made here. It will be in Tanabe City, Wakayama Prefecture, though the exact location and details are still undecided. I intend to do my best to live long enough to see that day.
I hope to see you again in 2050. Thank you so much for the past 184 days.
